Betting self-exclusion in Brazil: how to request it and what time limits apply

Centralized self-exclusion allows you to voluntarily request that your access to fixed-odds betting platforms authorized by the Secretaria de Prêmios e Apostas do Ministério da Fazenda (SPA/MF) be blocked. The request is free and made through your Gov.br account. The tool combines blocking across the covered platforms into a single request to help prevent financial and health-related harm.
- Existing accounts: blocks access to active accounts on the covered operators’ websites and apps.
- New registrations: prevents accounts from being opened on these platforms using the CPF provided in the request.
- Advertising: prevents you from receiving targeted advertising from the covered platforms during self-exclusion.

Rules for indefinite exclusion
For an indefinite term, SPA/MF’s current guidance is the revocation rule shown in the table, rather than an option for early cancellation. The procedure includes a form submitted through SEI/MF, submission of the requested documentation, and a medical report attesting to the absence of gambling disorder, in accordance with SPA/MF guidance. SPA assesses the application and may approve or reject it. On the Self-exclusion page listed in the sources, the “Useful Links” section provides step-by-step instructions for this procedure.
